Q. How does Volunteer Me help connect with volunteer opportunities and charities in the Cayman Islands?

A. Volunteer Me has started building a database of registered and established organisations that need volunteer support in the Cayman Islands.  As there are 225 registered organisations, Volunteer Me provides a centralised technology that allows non-profits and established organisations a way to upload details on volunteer needs and opportunities. This information will grow over time.  In it's simplest explanation Volunteer is creating the experience as illustrated below for volunteers.

How it works

Q. Why should I volunteer?

A. Imagine seizing the opportunity to discover a new skill that helps add to the resume of life, enjoying a hobby that also helps serve a community need, meeting new people and making friends that share in a common passion or even get a few volunteer perks just for helping to do good.

Many volunteers have found that no matter how much time is given towards a worthy cause, volunteering is a gratifying experience that goes beyond the heart warming, feel good inside emotion that comes from improving the world around us. (Although that is a pretty awesome feeling!) Go ahead and become a member of Volunteer Me and get ready for your next Volunteer adventure.

Q. Why should I register with Volunteer Me if I am already doing volunteer work?

A. By becoming a registered Volunteer Me user, registered volunteers have a convenient way to receive information on relevant volunteer interests and community needs. Registered volunteers also have the opportunity to connect with other volunteers, share experiences, ideas and have access to help shape the direction of where Volunteer Me goes with volunteerism.

Q. How long will I have to commit for?

A. As a volunteer you are free to leave whenever you like. If things don't work out or your circumstances change it's good to talk it through with the person in charge and give them some notice if possible.

A. Yes.  There are disabled volunteers in all kinds of roles. If you have particular concerns, or are unable to find an opportunity please contact us and Volunteer Me will be happy to assist.

A. Volunteer Me hosts the National Volunteering database.  Opportunties are provided either directly by the organisations or by the adminitrators of Volunteer Me as seen in the community that have requested volunteer support.
